hi on ebay i found a fiat punto 1.4 16v starjet engine with a 6 speed gear box looks very good and its very cheap for what it is. i was going to get it for my cinq but not yet ready to take on the starjet project so though other people might want to so here it is

Despite having the exact same engine and gearbox in my garage at this moment in time I'm seriously tempted to buy it. I could turn my track cinq into a twin engine 4 wheel drive track cinq :D

I am on it but the personne don't answer since friday night

I have to be patient but it's hard

perhaps the first 1.4 16v cinq in France at my knowledge:slayer:

the inlet has a flap to close half of the port at low RPM, and also it has a variator on top which retards the exhaust cam to heat the cat up quicker for emissions reasons.

they are both emissions devices, nothing to do with performence

or a panda 100hp / mk2.5 punto

but if you're looking at fitting it into a panda, then you should have the space at the back of the bay for the 1.4 inlet - which the flaps can be easily jammed open, and the variator easily removed and bypassed.

If I get one it's going in a mk1 Uno ;)

Main reason for fitting the early 1.2 16v inlet is to avoid the fly by wire throttle of the 1.4 engines. Too much of a headache to retro-install into an old car compared with a simple cable (y)

uno.. still lots of room :p

iirc kritip has a 1.4 inlet but with a cable TB on it. it can be done, but the 'easiest' is the non-starjet engines, but then if one crops up cheap - no reason not to get it :D

Good point! I'm going to finish my exams first and then see what my options are ;)

why not just buy that 450 hp uno in classified?

Someone already bought it and is stripping it for spares :( Plus I don't think I can handle 450bhp

:p
