My understanding is the army where going to be taking over the drive through testing as it doesn’t require a nurse to poke someone in the nose with a swab and stick a label on the tube. These problems maybe a result of the change over.

The nurses are then being deployed back in hospitals.

To be fair I expect a significant amount of people would have no idea about farms needing help like many things you'd have to go looking for such adverts ect
If it wasn't for reading something in the news about the shortage of farm workers ect I wouldn't know anything about it

And i bet most people are the same unless you live in a rural area no idea about it or where Togo to apply ect

the billionaire run news papers and bbc are fake news, this adds up to the same as what care home bosses are reporting.

Huge numbers are dying in care homes while London hospitals alone have many hundreds of empty COVID beds. Geriatric patients are being thrown out of hospitals across the UK into care homes that have little medical equipment. These homes are forced to take them in. HC-One care home company boss David Behan says two-thirds of his homes are riddled with COVID. But, the government says only 1 in 8 care homes are infected. These homes have no resuscitation or extra oxygen equipment, and they have to pay for COVID protection for their staff. Unlike the NHS, they must also pay VAT. Not all care-home staff are properly protected. The government won't test all the deaths in care homes for COVID. This is why they usually give death figures for hospitals only.

I don't do politics and try to take an all side view, those statements are ridiculous, its the kind of thing that is written to anger people into protest and riot on the streets, if more people read and believed this sxxt the battle with the virus would be lost

I have family members working in local care homes, they are all being fed critically ill patients from hospitals, the dont really have the facilities for most of these patients, and they are taking up huge amounts of time and resources in the care required, and with staff shortages at most of the homes the care being recieved is not upto normal standards. Many staff have walked out of these homes also due to poor conditions and the fact they have been scared witless by the media and are staying at home, others are self isolating because of any symptoms.
Im a taxi driver and im picking up agency staff and nurses for some homes from up to 30 miles away to help cover staff shortages due to many of the above factors.

Vaccine before 18 months says it was already being developed (virus was deliberately released) or isnt tested properly and big pharma is going for human trials, which by the way the government pays for the mistakes not the company. I wouldnt take it.
To get a pill to market takes 10 years and billions of pounds, and lots of studies are thrown out in year 7 or 8 having cost billions already. There is no real profit in pills due to testing costs. Vaccines however are usually 18 months to 2 years, testing is not as stringent as for pills etc, and is where the big profits are in big pharma, a multi trillion pound business, look at what they own and fund !!!!!!

I will only add one comment here and not get involved with the debate.
The common cold is caused by one of many ‘corona viruses’. We have not successfully created a vaccine for colds after decades of trying. And, if you get a cold, that doesn’t seem to provide protection preventing another cold - you don’t ‘build up resistance’ (or antibodies). So to to produce a vaccine for a significantly more aggressive Coronavirus in anything less than years is really challenging. Yes, some very early-stage trials might be starting soon, but sadly that doesn’t mean a viable vaccine that can be produced at sufficient scale (billions of doses) is anywhere near ready yet... that timeline could still be measured in years.

a very valid point. The reason for this is there are about 100 different variations of the common cold virus so if you catch one you can still catch a different version immediately after, and you won't have immunity to it even if you have some immunity to the version of the cold you just got over. So for a true vaccine to the common cold it would need to be able to cover 100 different variations of the same virus.

The good thing is the Covid19 virus as its stands maybe at worst has 2 variations.

A the original found in North China
B the Wuhan virus which is also the type USA have
C the mutation that has engulfed the rest of Asia and Europe

lets hope the scientists come up with something that will lesson the effects at least if not cure it.
