Re: Coronavirus - The Thread :(

Panda Driver received 2nd AZ dose on Sunday.. she received a letter 10 days before and a text reminder 2 days before

I had the letter with hers.. but my 2nd is this Saturday.. just had my reminder text

Apparently there was ZERO CHANCE of any couples being jabbed together..

The facility is 8 miles of scenic A road away.. the building is at the roadside and shares a carpark with the railway terminus.. all works very smoothly

And you only need sit for 5 minutes if you are not driving.

Got my 2nd done, made my arm ache for a couple of days but that's it no drama. But it would appear that even with2 jabs done and an all clear I still have to isolate when I get back from Porky, makes you wonder why we bothered sometimes.
for a giggle I had a laugh with the staff and got a couple of pictures taken - just to prove what a brave soldier I am. . .

Being vaccinated doesn't mean you can't still be a carrier, just means your immune system should be able to fight it.

Re: Coronavirus - The Thread :(

Had my second jab today in Ticehurst. Very well organised and out in 10 minutes.

There was a guy arranging the parking in the Village Hall car park and he was happily directing cars by marque. Consequently, I parked amongst a trio of 500’s

Re: Coronavirus - The Thread :(

Surprised to hear today that my sister (who lives in Denmark) and her partner haven't had any jabs yet.
She is 48 and he is a little older I think.

So they are well behind the UK with their rollout.

I know they stopped using the AZ jab a while ago, which could be why they are so behind....

This keeps getting said - but it doesn't make sense.

If going by that strict rule, then the country shouldn't be opening up - as there can be loads of vaccinated carriers walking around.

The whole point of getting vaccinated is to stop the restrictions, surely?

Why is someone coming from abroad more likely to cause an outbreak than one of the 8000+ a day infected people in the UK?

(Maybe I'm a little bit salty - I'm vaccinated but still have to quarantine when I get back next week and pay for 3 covid tests on top of a flight that cost 2x as much as normal )

Long term yes, short term it’s to stop the health service from being over loaded and crippled.

Until almost everyone is vaccinated you could be carrying it to those at a much higher risk of being hospitalised because they haven’t yet managed to be vaccinated.

This is the way I see it anyway
