Re: Coronavirus - The Thread :(

Well, here I am, one week down the road from when I had that jag and only now am I really feeling I'm over it. The bruise is now about half crown size with a purple centre and a yellowish "halo" round it - It's not sore at all any more even if you poke it.

The arm is still stiff and very slightly painful around the elbow if you "work" it but all the cramp feelings have gone.

The only slightly debilitating effect still present is that I'm still really quite dizzy. I'm hoping it'll clear up before Tuesday for the grandchildren childminding duties - last Tuesday was quite arduous as I have to do all the lifting and carrying due to Mrs J's bad back ruling her out for that sort of activity. Luckily she's fine driving the car.

I still find it quite puzzling that Mrs J, who had exactly the same jag at exactly the same time, only felt slightly under the weather for about 24 hours - nothing remotely approaching the reaction I've endured.

Aye Jock it just seems that some like yourself take the jag a bit worse than others. Iíve had both my vaccines some time ago and never missed a beat, in fact the second dose I felt elated, I felt I couldíve done anything, obviously all in my mind but real to me.....

Re: Coronavirus - The Thread :(

My update.
Had first jab mid-February. Had horrendous shoulder pain which stopped me from sleeping or driving for a week. General opinion was that the jab was "mis-directed".
So this week I went for jab number 2.
I asked for it to be in the other arm this time and also showed the clear mark that is still there from jab 1. The vaccinator said:
"well that is interesting - where did you have that done?"
"Here - but not by you!" said I.
"Well I won't be putting this one in that position I promise you".
So he went ahead and put the jab smack in the middle of my muscle.
I have had no pain at all tis time, just a minor headache for a short while.
I have just compared the positioning of both jabs and the first one was a full 5cm lower and off centre than the second.
Unlucky I guess!

Gonna get my first BioNtech on may 9th. I'll look out for the jam, but I'm afraid that this is not provided throughout the whole EU
Oh well... I'll buy my own.
Can't wait to get stabbed though

Thank God that more countries are sending help to India. Watching the news about the country makes me sad.

Aye nickinom, the scale of it is frightening and their infrastructure was never going to cope. It's absolutely desperate watching the television reports. The quantities of aid required is massive but so far seems to be just a trickle? As you say, very sad indeed.

Just been for 2nd Jab, (Astra Zenica), 100% no effects on 1st, and looks like 2nd will be same. No sensation of the needle going in/out, no sore/tender spot on arm, indeed can bash the arm with zero effect............no jam, though this time they were offering a hot drink. Slick operation. Cheers Qube O.
