Backing up an argument with facts, there's no place for that here!:devil:Here is the most recent BMJ and the most recent research comparing the differences between deaths caused by flu and those caused by Covid. To those claiming it’s “just the flu” or “no worse” than the flu or any other comparison to the flu I suggest you get a copy of the BMJ and read it.
If you pay yourself and list it in your accounts as 'Drawings', it is taken out before tax is calculated. This allows one to pay less tax, but then leaves less profit to count towards SEISS. I could not understand this, and still don't, as if I don't take out everything, what happens to the remainder? It is still mine. So not PAYE, but seriously affects the SEISS. If you account for all the money earned, and pay tax on it, it is done after the profit is calculated, so still leaves one eligible for SEISS.I am a bit confused by that. As you say yourself above you are the business so anything that is left over is yours. So why would you have a separate salry unless you wanted the business to pay you via PAYE.
The gov website lists what you can do, and what you cannot. Also what businesses can stay open, and those that must close. Here:You may have covered this; I haven’t been keeping up with all the chat. But MOTs. My MOT expires in February and the news is telling me I mustn’t go out. Is getting an MOT so I can tax, legally park, and finally drive my car to go get a jab classed as necessary? I suggest it is a must do or the buggers will prosecute me and tow my car. So there’s something like 2.5 million people a month having to mix with mot testers and other garage staff to do this. (And I do not believe any garage has a Covid safe waiting room so it’s out in the rain and snow while I wait - and likely fined for being away from home!)

Scroll a long way down to the section, "Businesses and venues that can stay open. Car repairs and MOT are listed there.
As said above, there's no extension to MOTs now, so needs to be done. Therefore an essential journey. Luckily I got mine done on the Fabia at the bottom of the road, just over 100 yds away, so could walk home. Had it serviced last week, a little further away, but weather was dry and little wind, so went for a long walk. Stood on a bridge over the A40 at Witney, watching all the traffic whizz by. Got a lovely wave from a lady in a Fiesta. Brightened the day.
