Hey guys.

Need some advice. If your taking your in under warranty for an issue (car feels it has a lack of power). If the dealership says they couldn't find anything wrong. Should you be paying a diagnostic fee even if it's covered by warranty?

Thanks

A lot of makers now charge a fee for diagnostics, which is not refundable if no fault is found.

Fiat will almost always charge if they can get away with it, though I notice you’re posting this In the punto Abarth section, when no punto Abarths will still be under a manufacturer’s warranty as they stopped making them 5 years ago.

The question therefore is what warranty do you have?

Why would it be free? You are paying someone's time, just because they have not found anything doesn't mean nothing has been done. A good tech will carry out checks or tests as necessary, and determine if results are good or not, that's what you are paying for. If there is nothing at fault or then warranty can't pay for a no fault found
