Hi All,

Im of to look at a punto abarth Esseesse today, it seems setup correctly with the wheels, suspension but I want to be sure its the Esseesse im getting and not a remaped abarth (I know they are to a degree)

With out pulling it to bits I know they swap over the turbo, is there an easy way to identify it being the Esseesse?

Thanks All,
Sam

Hi Sam,

The service book should be completed and stamped to show the fitting of the EsseEsse kit by the dealer. There should also be a certificate sent to the car's owner by Abarth, confirming it's genuine & warning of the insurance requirements. (y)

Yes the certificate is the official evidence from Abarth. It will show as a "normal" AGP 155bhp if you do any checks. That's because the dvla refused to change the V5's and Abarth eventually gave up arguing with them. On the plus side it means the standard CO2 emissions stand, and there's no hike in road tax!

When you come to insure it be very careful they find the EsseEsse model - it's got a bit better but they used to keep saying there isn't another one! It's under Fiat Grande Punto Abarth 180 EsseEsse usually if they look hard enough!!

You know it's an AGP don't you, as you posted in the Evo/Supersport section.
