So after purchasing my first punto evo 3 years ago, I have been in love with the italian car firm. A year after buying the punto evo gp, a stunning ex demo punto evo sporting turned up that I couldn't refuse! And now 2 years of happy driving down the line it is time to say good bye and move on to the next step, an Abarth esseesse! Love the car, only mods I have planned are leather dash cover and red wing mirrors, maby a tuning box in the future! What you guys think?

No mods needed with an Abarth EsseEsse in my opinion...
Almost all tuning box are piece of sh*, some are really like this :

You already have a state-of-the-art fine tuned 1.4 Turbo 180BHP engine, with, plenty of torque. Don't think a couple of $$ for a plastic box with resistors inside is what this nice engine deserves.

Red wing mirror can be good if you like, and perhaps chrome indicator bulbs :)

Thanks for the advice! Could you point me in the right direction on the indicator bulbs you are talking about as I am not sure what you mean. As for the tuning box, was just looking at the TMC one to put output upto 207 bhp, I hear good things about that box. When I get the few mods I have planned done I will put some pictures up.

Chrome bulbs are silver when off and blink orange when on, like standard colored bulbs. But it avoid orange reflect in headlight, which is just beautiful (for me...).

TMC, Magneti Marelli or other boxes do just the same : allow more pressure of the turbo.
It's the easiest way to get power and a lot of torque, but it only change signals for the car ECU. This ECU don't know the reality anymore.
To do things correctly, the best way is to re-map the original ECU. One brain, one CPU do the job, with real values.

And don't forget your Abarth already has 190-195HP perhaps...
 
Will maby look into those bulbs depending on how hard it is to change the indicator lights ;) no I have been on this forum for a while now but couldn't remember the name or password for my other account so just made a new one lol. Factory its apparently 180bhp but I think it is probs pumping out more, very quick compared to my sporting!

Thats all the front bulbs changed to osrams and mtecs for a nice white glow! Already what a difference!
 
It's quite easy to changes bulb.

Front, I was able to do this laying on the back next to the car. Be carful, sharp thing on the way, but you save a lot of time.
Side really easy - push near back of car.
Rear, Phillips screw driver and 2 screws each side.

Total 15min I think :)
 
Very nice! I'm liking the bucket seats too!

I've seen a few people on here with re-mapped Abarths that push the BHP to insane numbers. However you'd probably have to upgrade a few bits to compensate for the increased power!
 
I would be more than happy with 200+ bhp, I am currently looking for a full time job after completing my degree, with a influx of cash I am thinking new exhaust, induction kit then get a tuning box or re-map though I dont know any who can map a multi air engine. Should easily pump out 200+ bhp I imagine and giving its an esseesse, suspension and brakes won't need upgraded.
 
I think the car was originally spec'd with them, they are Abarth sabelt seats as far as I am aware and around £1300-£1500 for a cloth set, I have seen them on a few sites, try googling them but they were the selling point for me along with the esseesse kit lol. Look fantastic.
