Technical Daylight Running Bulbs

Today i've changed to LED Daylight Running Lights but on the drivers side, 2 of the lights keep flashing, when the car is locked and engine off.

Is this a MOT failure & can the DRL dash error be turned off via a garage software when hooked up to the car.

These are the ones I bought for DRL's mate, no errors and look the part.

Picture doesn't do the bulbs justice, there much whiter in real life.

I've done some research and found out a set of cambus free T20 W21W 7440 LED's with built in resistors works:

I've ordered a set of these, keep you updated:

I understand that, but there a better option than having errors on the dash constantly.
I agree, if it is not possible to have error free LED, it will be my choice.

Thanks in advance, I hope they will work error free :)

Here's part 1 of the DRL bulb change, If the LED's i've bought don't work i'll stick with these as they are white / bright enough & will pass the MOT.

Like Lloyderzz I ordered the MTEC 380 W21W Super White Xenon Effect Bulbs 7440 “Pair” from hids-direct on eBay.
The ones they sent are NOT the same as those in their eBay picture - they have a black plastic extension on them which pushes the bulb and therefore the filament further into the reflector. So the filament is not at the focus of the reflector and the result is hopeless!
The original fit W21W bulbs are glass-only wedges but are nearly yellow by comparison! ATM I'm running one of each (!); one of the MTEC ones supplied by hids-direct failed after only 4 days use ... b*st*rds.
Can't find an LED replacement that's CANBUS compatible, yet!
Keep us informed please!

I had a set of mtec ones last year which were glass only wedges. Earlier this year one bulb failed so hids direct replaced with the plastic version. They didnt seem to fit in the bulb holder as well as the glass version and stick out more. After a couple of months one of these failed. Im now back using the standard bulbs.:banghead:

I have Mtecs and I did have one blow, but if I'm honest I don't really have them on, but they give a nice blue tint to the headlights.

"super white" DRL, Headlight bulbs, no error dash messages & passed 1st MOT at local Fiat garage. (y)
