Angel Eyes headlamps for Grande Punto Abarth

Has anyone fitted Angel Eyes headlamps for their Grande Punto Abarth? Something like these for example:

If yes, how is their light compared to the stock headlamps? I ask because I'm considering purchasing for my GP Abarth Esseesse

Hi,

I have a set of angle eyes on my GP t-jet, although not the set you posted here.

What do you want to know?

Hi put similar on GP 1.3 look great, but dipped lights poor and full beam ok compared to standard, which used H4 bulbs.
The Angel Eyes I put on use H1 Philips X-treme vision bulbs without daylight running lights and both dipped and full beams are projector lights. Looks like those in the photo may have reflectors for the dipped lights and may be better

Aftermarket lights rarely outperform OEM - manufacturers spend lots of money on developing cars, right down to the light units... they're not going to be improved by something knocked up in a Chinese sweat shop!

(These aren't angel eyes, either - angel eyes are what BMW used to use, with the sidelight / DRL being a ring around the main and dip units)

Yes your right, I forgot about the rings around the projector lenses probably because they are not very bright like those on a BMW are

Hi. First of all, I would like to know how is their light output (quality, visibility, brightness, lighting range, etc.) compared to the stock headlamps. Also, what kind of lighting (halogen, Xenon, LED) do you use with those headlamps you have?

Hi. Dipped lights poor?? That's not good! In that case, you can install LED or Xenon kit for your dipped lights. Also, you can replace the projector in those headlamps too if you wish to. The cost is around 75 to 100 Euros (approximately) for a 2.5" projector, + the installation cost.

These headlamps in photo have projector for the dipped beams, and reflector for the high beams.

I was afraid of this! In that case (if I buy those aftermarket headlamps), I will have to replace their projector with an aftermarket projector (I think a 2.5" will do) in order to get better lighting for the dipped lights.

Yes, I kinda confused the name for the aftermarket headlights. Anyhow, I would also consider Angel Eye rings around it's projectors in case I install a better projector into them...

Well to be honest I think they were around the same as my stock lights? Not something I would call a noticeable difference, although the high beams are a lot better.

Regarding lighting they use H1 bulbs, so nothing fancy. All in all I like the look of them, and give good light as well.

I will say tho that I have already gone through a set of H1 bulbs, problem is the LED kits are not legal in my country.

You could still use "rally" bulbs, something like this:

Not street legal, but probably less annoying that those badly aligned lenses lights (xenon) !!

Yes, with halogen bulbs specifically there is no noticeable difference compared to the reflector headlamps.

These headlamps will perform best with 55 watt Xenon lights
