i have just done a recon on the cylinder head to my 1.4ma, after building back up and running the boost stoped and the warning light telling me that start stop is unavailable appears.
when boost does work it will stop after 10 mins and the same warning will come up and i can only get 2 bars of boost as seen on the computer boost gauge. the turbo pressure control valve has been replaced, a new boost sensor fitted, the waste gate has been physically checked, we ran a test on the diverter valve through the scanner and that seemed fine. we checked for signal on the input to the pressure valve and that seems in working order. the vacuum lines have also been replaced. there are no leaks on the intercooler pipping. what we don't understand is why it boost sometimes on startup and then drops out and wont return for a while. DNA is also in working order and there has not been any multi-air issues. i can still drive the car around just has very little boost and so a lack of power it is not in a limp mode. the other theory we have are that the computer is not telling the diverter valve to close or that the throttle body is having issues as in one situation the car was boosting at max and the inlet pipe to the throttle popped off as if the throttle shut and the boost had no where to escape and the clamp was tight. there are also no codes in the system and live data showed correct reading on all parameters. i work along side an independent alfa expert and we are struggling to see whats going on here as the car wont give many clues.

I'd suspect the waste gate stuck open if you can't hear the "pschht" valve stayed open...
