AGPs had to have the EsseEsse kit fitted new or within 12 months. Had to be by an Abarth dealer, and cost £4000!

The service book should have the upgrade part filled in and stamped showing it was fitted. Abarth then sent a certificate to the owner, confirming that it was an official conversion - it's called a certificate of elaboration (I framed mine, so I didn't lose it). As you paid through the nose for it to be fitted, there is absolutely no reason why a genuine car wouldn't come with its certification - there's no way of validating it via the bits fitted & dvla refused Abarth's requests to amend V5's (though at least that means the co2 and tax stays the same!). (y)

Yes mate I've got it :) loving the car, feels so nice to drive :D
I've ordered wind deflectors for fiat gp 3 door 2006 and up so hopefully they will fit as couldnt find ones for Abarth!!
Looking for an armrest aswell, dont suppose anybody knows where I can buy the genuine one? :)

Palio thanks! That's a comprehensive list. I've got some good options too. ;) Patrick S5 cool. Be sure to get a tread up with some pics!! I'll keep an eye out for you around our neck of the woods. Be good to finally see another one (?)

09 Grande Punto Abarth

Got some stuff on the way, nothing performance wise haha
Got an arm rest, wind deflectors for the windows and a sun strip :D
Gonna buy wheels next pay day ;) Can't do anything to engine etc. as its all under warranty for 12 months so got to hold that off till then :(

You could always get a tuning box, bluespark or tmc..... Those can be removed if there are any problems.....

Nah mate, knowing my luck they would somehow find out and then I'll be screwed so I'll just wait a year :) Gives me time to save up as well :D

Very true!! Best be safe than sorry. I'm out of warranty as the Cowboys I got mine off only gave 3 months and then shirked on it anyway. Lol
I'm having the centre box deleted Wednesday. Can't wait. (Not even sure it will make a difference but I'm willing to try) :)

How come mate, what happened?

And yeah, let us know what its like after! Should just get the Supersprint Exhaust full set up haha. I was looking at it and when I saw the pricing I changed my mind lol

Exactly, every ready made exhaust is expensive!
Well it's done, it's made it a bit more roarty and slightly louder and it pulls a bit better but that could be placebo effect. For less than £40 you can't moan though. Looks like a custom back box next. :(

Nice man, yeah for less than 40 squids you can't really moan ;)

Should upload a video mate, show us what it sounds like (y)

I will try tomorrow. It's got a nice machine gun sound on rundown (when you let off the throttle and the revs drop) although it's not too much louder just a bit raspier.

Have you got a YouTube channel?, whack it on there :D

Hi mate,

Yeah you can hear that its made a difference tbf!

Mines starting to worry me already!!! The engine is starting to sound a bit like the famous corsa engine rattle!!:(

I'm gonna leave it for another week or two if it gets worst I'll be ringing the dealership..

How do you mean mate? Tappety? Mine is the same, it seems (to me anyway) that they are all like that don't think it's anything to worry about.

Yeah mate, sounds a bit like a tractor tbf when you listen to the engine :( It wasn't doing it, only started a few days ago..

Don't suppose you know any Abarth Service stations near us? The car has full service history, 2 from Abarth but then the rest from independent garages. I'd rather have it serviced by Abarth so then at least when it comes to selling the car (not thinking about it, another few years to go! :D) I have it in the books that it's been services by Abarth :yum:
