I had noticed that the turbo wasn't spooling to full boost so i suspected the electrovalve, i took it off and sprayed some carb cleaner into it then rinsed it out with brake cleaner. It worked but not sure if this is a permanent fix so i ordered a new one today £73 incl postage.

The valves internal diaphragm is completely perished, this is the reason the boost doesn't hold. Hopefully new part will arrive today so it can be fitted this week.

Hello, I am also struggling to get full boost on my T-Jet but unfortunately not as mechanically clued up as I wish I was. Would you mind taking a pic of where the part is so I can have a look at mine. My local garage replaced all the thin vacuum hoses relating to the turbo recently in an attempt to fix it, it did improve but still not 100%

Sounds like the solenoid but don't hold me to it but if all the hoses are fine and tight then i would suspect the solenoid. It will go eventually especially if its had a remap as the internal diaphragm isn't designed to take much more than the factory boost level.

The Boost solenoid is the shiny black plastic part with the new sticker on it. 10 minute job.
