Technical Engine ticking

I have an abarth and when it's running in idle there is a ticking noise coming from the engine on the passengers side. If I rev the engine it gets faster.

Any idea what it could be? Seems to be ok when I'm on the move

Oil and filter been changed recently, how's the oil level?

Could it be normal sound of fuel injectors opening and closing?

I recently had a full service including timing belt and water pump.

Never noticed the sound before but I've checked oil levels and they are fine. The car also seems to be running ok with no power loss

Errhh yes. An old trick I used to hear about donkeys years ago that people did when selling a car with a noisy camshaft.

Could it be exhaust manifold, perhaps one bolt needs tightening
