Where's the fun in that?! IMO If you spend a lot on a car, you must get the most out of it, be it fuel consumption, performance, fun whatever, otherwise, why buy such a thing? It's not like anyone keeps a car forever these days anyway.

EVO mag timed the 500SS at Millbrook Proving Ground in Bedfordshire which is an industry rated & trusted facility. I think they may have used Datron professional timing equipment.

It should be noted all official timing figures are produced with 2 people on board and all fluids & I believe EVO replicate these conditions.

Therefore with one person on board and a near empty tank it should be possible to better, but of course that is applicable for all cars.

Further to this press cars are often tweeked to insure they meet or exceed all manufacturer figures as they know magazines will check.
