Another new special edition

Japanese Italian car tuner Any's International has unveiled a unique edition Abarth 500 project at the Tokyo Special Import-Car Show 2010 which was realised in collaboration with two Italian companies: Magneti Marelli and Black. This distinctive one-off Scorpion-based car will be on sale for 4.7 million yen (42,000 euros).

The Tokyo Special Import-Car Show 2010 is an annual custom car show for imported cars. This show, held in the Japanese capital city, features exhibits from leading aftermarket parts manufacturers, custom shops, automotive businesses and organisations in the import custom car field and attracts attention from both domestic and overseas guests. For Any's International this was the showcase to present the 500 Elaborazione. At last year's edition of the show Any's International kicked the ball rolling by showing off a 500 "dressed" up to represent the full breadth of aftermarket customisation options that are available for the tiny urban car.

This year though it was the turn of the Abarth 500 to be customised and the resulting, quite unique, car, dubbed the "Abarth 500 Elaborazione", was developed in conjunction with the Fiat Group's Magneti Marelli division and Italian accessory manufacturer, Black. Engine power is increased to 162 bhp thanks to Magnelli Marelli ECU upgrades with the mid band torque is also improved. The 500 Elaborazione also features a Magneti Marelli dual mode exhaust called "Milano Edition" which is especially manufactured for Any's International.

Further Magneti Marelli input into the custom-crafted car comes from the new brake discs and eye-catching yellow brake calipers for the Abarth 500 (which were developed by Brembo), along with a new lowered suspension kit (spring set), and the new 7x17 inch "black" alloy wheels (fitted with Magneti Marelli hub caps) which are shod with 215/40R17 83W Dunlop Z1 Star tyres.

The car has been finished in an aggressive orange colour with gloss black highlights and distinctive badging that denotes the close association of the 500 Elaborazione project with Magneti Marelli, including in a wheel-to-wheel decal panel along the side along which also features the "Abarth" name, and a small aluminium logo fitted to the B-pillar which is now covered with a carbon-fibre finishing piece. There is further carbon fibre in the triangle section of the front door nudging into A-pillar while there is also an "Elaborazione" logo on the tailgate lid.

Inside, the cabin has been made more opulent and luxurious, and customised using an array of leather components from Black, including the steering wheel, handbrake gaiter and the arching cover for the instrument console, plus there is a carbon-fibre gear shift knob. The four seats are now finished in black leather and Alcantara and "Elaborazione" is stitched into the headrests in orange (to match with the contrasting orange colour of the leather stitching) on the front seats while the door panels are also trimmed in leather. Floor mats with orange trimming and embossed with the "Elaborazione" name complete the package.

LOL @ the wheels. They're just black superturismo GT's with Magnetti Marelli centre caps. I hardly call the wheels "new" when you've been able to get them for a while now.

As for the brakes, they're just drilled discs with yellow painted calipers :ROFLMAO: The suspension is just a spring kit so not even better dampers! Personally for that money I'd want coilovers.

I like the colour at least :)

I like the colour, I really do but

Not a dig at you at all Draigflag, just funny how little tuning has actually been done to the car.

It's not a dig at me, it's not my car! And i agree completely, the mods are very DIY anybody could do them in a day or two, you could even get a vinyl wrap done in that colour so the look would be easy to replicate. And only 162 HP too, hardly pushing the boat out, same HP figures as an SS. Still, i think this one's more about the styling, especially the interior stitching etc. There are a few more pics in this video i made:
