I am a new owner of a 900e transit and have no idea whether the indicators should stop indicating after turning or is something broken on my indicator stalk/column

The last time my 900T was on the road the indicators self cancelled - albeit somewhat hit and miss. Indicator/lighting stalks come up occasionally on Ebay but the last one I saw was silly money (£400+), for the money they wanted I'm happy to flip the indicator off myself.

might be wise to check the fitting of the steering wheel.

On the steering wheel boss there is a disc with a pin sticking up, this pin locates in a position on the back of the steering wheel. if they don't line up then the steering wheel cannot turn the disc and hence doesn't cancel the indicator.
