I had always thought the conversion was done by an independent UK company.
The advertising back in the 80's seems to imply that it was totally a Fiat product.
Does anyone know the facts?

My 82 Caravelle was kitted out by Motorhomes International in the UK. The sliding side window as made in Birmingham, quite far from Turin

Those answers are appreciated. I was confused at the time I asked it as there are old adverts available which appear to be official Fiat promotions for the van.
It's been pointed out that by the time my camper was made in 1985, Fiat were effectively commissioning the vans to be converted, but as you say, this was in the UK and using non Fiat materials for the conversion.

The 900E Amigo and Caravelle were sold officially through Fiat dealers by Fiat Auto UK. The vans came over for conversion in the UK. I have an original brochure from the time.
