The turn signal and light dim levers on my Spider are broken, and I've purchased a replacement unit. I imagine I have to take off the steering wheel and drop the steering column to accomplish this?

I've never taken off a steering wheel - any how-to's or advice?

Hi Grubeguy

if you take the horn push out and undo the nut about 2 turns, then using a set of pullers with a covering of electrical tape under the ends it should come off pretty easy,

dont be tempted to pull hard at the rim as you may well crack the outer rim where it meets the horizontal struts.

Damn, I don't have a steering wheel puller. Nor do I know how to remove the horn button. Guess I need to go searching...

Good evening Grubeguy.

standard gears pullers are fine, tighten the pullers into place and give the center bolt of the pullers a confident firm tap with a hammer and it should release.

Tim

Ps can i make a request please, ease up on the typed expletives,
