Our Seat AlteaXL was getting tired so not needing the space so much now, opted for a 67 plate, 1.6 mjet, 19k miles in lounge spec. Previous owner got tons of extras incl pan roof, full leather, camera etc so it's a nice cabin to be in. My only niggle is the boot floor. I thought in lounge spec it was movable to be flush with the load lip but it just rests on top of the polystyrene tyre inflation section. It wasn't a deal breaker obviously but it's just a bit of flexibility lost.

Anyway that's the 500x joining the 500 and the coupe on the drive :D

Mine has a space saver wheel and toolkit and boot floor level with the load lip. Recall when I bought mine, if the boot floor did not have a grab hand hole you got the goo and compressor in the polystyrene mould, if you did you got the space saver and tool bag. Anyway enjoy your 500X.

Thanks FFF. So if you got the space saver wheel then you have the adjustable boot floor? It's no biggy and I can always remove the poly insert which will release a bit more space.

On my 2015 Cross X Plus I have the raised boot floor with the full emergency kit (jack, spanner, tow hook etc) bag on the rear RHS.

On the rear LHS I had the poly insert which I have removed.

The whole "under area is filled with tools, tow rope, emergency triangle, rags, oil, antifreeze, brake fluid, jack pads, bits and bobs. Almost a "garage in the boot".

The down side to the higher level floor is that in encourages filling the space and increasing the vehicle weight and fuel consumption. The plus side is one has a better opportunity to solve your own mechanical issues.

Regardless of what arrangement you have have I STRONGLY recommend that you remove the towing eye from the boot underfloor area and stow it in an easily accessible area like a rear door pocket or velcro attached to the carpet of the rear of the rear seats or or onto one of the carpet lining of the boot side panels.

Basically anywhere which is fairly readily accessible with a fully loaded car. To be honest I know engine space is limited these days but the engine bay would be a more suitable place to locate such an essential bit of kit.
