My Cross 4x4 seems to have poor range on dipped beam from the halogen bulbs. Is this normal? Or just the bulbs be just old and worn out?

Thinking of fitting the Osram Nightbreakers I have in my Coop 20VT.

Yes, seems normal - I am quite disappointed by the halogens on our ‘19 compared to the last one which had the Xenon units.

Full beam is perfectly adequate IMO, it does seem to just be the dipped like you say.

Not got round to trying anything different though, as we don’t do much night driving, especially at the moment. Be good to hear any others suggestions.

Changed the H4 bulbs. Original factory General Electric ones looked tired and glass a pale brown. Changed both bulbs to Osram Nightbreaker 2.0, after a drive to work this morning at 5am, night and day difference, can see up to 70 meters more than the previous GE bulbs on dipped beam. Full beam with these bulbs is epic! Also bulb removal is the easiest I have encountered, just tug out and remove. Refitting same just push in till each of the spring clips engage.
