Hello just bought this car for my wife private sale but seems to be a smell of engine oil more noticeable when heaters are on anyone experienced them issues thanks

Check around engine with a torch..
Oily damp patches.. loose hose clips

The cabin air is ducted from around the enginebay

Do keep an eye on fluid levels too

I did get a torch but can’t see any oil I have read somewhere about a o ring failing on the air oil separator just wondered has anyone had the same problems pointing to that

Replaced the seal seemed to have sorted the problem simple fix

I too have occasionally smelt oil in my car which is also a 1.4 turbo. Can you tell me where exactly the air oil separator is? Also the part number / dimensions of the O ring would be very helpful.

Top of rocker cover right hand side just a couple of hoses to remove and 3 x10mm nuts ; I’m sure I used 16mm inside diameter and 2.63mm thick oring ,just as well get the o rings from euro car parts Buy a alsorted set about 5 pound
