Hi!
I want to share informations about retrofitting paddle shifters on steering wheel on 500X. Of course it is possible on automatic transmission only...
All you need is change steering wheel with paddle shifters or istall it on rear side. In that case you also need install the wheel wiring for paddles.
Next step is discover if the car is prepared for paddle shifters, or if need to install wires from spiral cable to shifting knob... Thats all.
Next step is programming the BCM with MES...

This paddle shifter mod is one of the most sought after for this car since 2015... Have searched for it in many forums, but still have not been able to find any one user that has documented how it is done...

It seems, the paddle parts are common to many FCA cars, including (but not limited to) the Jeep Renegade, Chrysler 200, Charger, Abarth 500...

Could you share some details on the process, and parts list, if you can? I am very eager to do so, but the process involving tapping on the wiring of the gear shifter knob seems a delicate task...

For the record, my car is a 500x 2016, North American version, trekking trim, 2,4 l Tiger shark II engine, 9 speed ZF transmission
