Hi gang,

I have noticed that sometimes my 500x with 9gear automatic transmission when it is cold started and shifted from park to drive it starts from D1 and sometimes D2?

Is this normal behavior?

Also I have noticed when it is in Traction+ (It's AWD) it cannot be drived on normal road, cause it's stuck in D1 or D2. Throttle has to be pushed really hard and it shifts on 5000rpm

My experience is when selector is in Auto mode it always starts in D2. In Sport mode always starts in D1.
Same experience as you with Traction mode. It really isn't made for normal everyday road use. Really should be used for icy, snowy, unstable muddy conditions. You can manually change at a lower rpm if needed.

In Auto mode it WILL start in 1 if on a slope, if on level ground starting in 2 is normal for Auto, Sport Mode normally goes 1-8 and leaves out 9
