Almost every time I hit the gas, I hear a quick rattling noise. I am out of warranty and I am wondering if anyone has experienced or is experiencing the same issue. I have a 2016 Fiat 500x lounge (USA).

It sounds a bit like pinking (pre-ignition), which may be down to poor fuel, or adjustment of the timing.

Sounds like an expensive repair. Warranty just ran out about a month ago.

Well until diagnosed you won't know but being just a month out of warranty I would be approaching the dealer to contact Fiat regarding a good will claim/assistance.

Also have you had the car serviced just before the warranty expired? Would not be the first time a technician got something wrong (not deliberately) on a service that takes a while to manifest itself.

Another dealer fixed my AC as goodwill and I did not want to add more to it. Car was rattling quickly on cold start. Different dealer could not duplicate the noise right before warranty expired 05/10/20. This car sucks!

I guess by you date format 05/10/20 you are not a UK/EU resident person?

If you reported a fault to a Fiat dealer before the warranty expired and you have some evidence of doing so then YOU MUST get back to Fiat (in your country or Italy) directly and as soon a possible. Make THEM work for you.

I doubt the car sucks. What possibly sucks is the service and customer care you are receiving from you franchised Fiat agent/dealer so bypass them and go directly to Fiat.
