Where is the fuel filter located?

I've changed the spark plugs, oil & filter, cabin filter and air filter.

No fuel filter on petrol engines they don't need them

There will likely be a strainer type device on the pump it's self but that isn't a service part

As stated.. the in tank pump has its own filter.. but of course there is nothing to say that variants do/dont have an in.line filter

What do the parts fische websites show?

As far as I can tell the 500X petrol does appear to have an additional fuel filter P/N:51940647.

Would appear to be located in the same position as the 500X diesel fuel filter in/around the offside wheel side of the engine bay.

What I'm struggling with is the life of this filter.

Fiat removed in-line petrol fuel filters some time ago. The last cars that I had which used them were the Uno, Strada, Tipo and Tempra.

The Punto HGT, Coupe 20V, Stilo 2.4, Barchetta 2005 all only had the course non replaceable filter in the in-tank fuel pump assembly.

So this begs the question is/are the petrol fuel filters in more recent Fiat models (e.g. 500X) a safety precaution and as such a "fit for life" unless you are unlucky enough to get a really dirty fuel fill-up?

In what 500X service information I have I see no mention regular fuel filter replacement.

Op is out of europe..

So better filtration may be a good thing
