2 of them for £28 on ebay, the car is booked for next week getting brand new stainless steel pipe and box. There was a thought..to buy a used diffuser form a 500x trekking, cut it on both sides and fit it to my car..but to much hassle to be honest. I am really looking forward to this one[emoji41]

I have asked for something..not very loud...will see it will turn out. 20190905_120735.jpeg20190905_120816.jpeg20190905_120820.jpeg20190905_120824.jpeg20190905_120831.jpeg

I guess my luck with modifications on the car is non existing...just came back from the garage..apparently a tool needed for the job snapped yesterday so it is a no go for the job.

It takes 2- 3 days for new tool to arrive and with my current rota at work the next available day will be a week on Friday..and the next day i am off on my holidays..i was really looking forward on today's job...

I think they are sticking out to much.....Looks like you could trip over them at the moment!
It looks like it that but it isn't, not very good photo this one, you can barely see them from the side.

More photos in a weeks time, i have to pack for my holiday..0600 flight.

Abarth comes anyway with tailpipe as standard or not?

Yes and I got the pleasure to have a good look at a 500 Abarth on a lift and I found the rear pipe set-up to be interesting. The main pipe feed split to the LHS & RHS of the car at the rear.

Each of these feeds is then split again. One directly goes to one of the twin tail pipes and the other enters a large silencer box which span the rear and this feeds into the other rear twin pipe.

This is repeated on the other side of the car. So in effect you have a N/S and O/S tail pipe which is not silenced and a N/S and O/S tail pipe which is silenced.

There was no mid section silencer. Instead the pipe from the front just when straight to the back. The mid section floor panel recess was basically an empty cavern, complete with heat shields etc. to accommodate a standard 500 exhaust two box single tail pipe system.

The Abarth system looks like it would be expensive to replace and if I had to I would probably have a custom stainless set-up made.

IMHO the Cross Plus looks better for having a cutout for the single tailpipe, but I have always thought it would have looked better with two
I like it a lot with the the tail pipes and there is no stupid noise when you put your food down. I chose to fit a 60mm pipe instead of the 50mm which is standard and works quite nice.
