I’ve now replaced the faulty ABS sensor/pump and now the electronic handbrake, Hill start assist etc is working properly.

I had flashing mileage as was expected and have cleared codes but I have a VIN mis-match which is keeping a light on (the orange brake one). MultiECUScan doesn’t seem to have the capability of doing this.

The pump/module needs to be registered with the VIN of the car to clear the error and out the light out.

Will an auto electrician be able to do this or will I have to go to Fiat?

There may be an auto electrician with suitable diagnostic tools to do this but you will have to phone around. You are probably better off going to a Fiat dealer who should be able to do this "if they can*.

I say if they can because like when changing ECUs and Airbag control units unless they are virginised then just trying to use a previously used second hand unit may not be possible.

Fingers crossed. I will see if I can find someone tomorrow. If not might be a trip to fiat.
