I’ve asked a few question about door cards, doors, bumper etc on my 2017 500X Cross Plus during my repair. The car is nw finished apart from installing the new abs pump to get the electronic handbrake working and I really want to replace the grey part in the rear bumper but the bodywork is now complete.

I bought the car as a Cat S for £4,650. I have bought new offside front and rear doors, a new front wing, a new wheel, a coup,e of pieces of door bottom trim and a bit of workshop time on the wheel sensors. All in all I’ve spent about £6,200. The insurance paid out £13,750 so I’ve got it for less than half price.

Absolutely love the car. Trying to upload a pic but coming up with an error.

Sounds like a job well done mate. Pic would be good. Whats the difference between a Cat S and Cat D? - s'ok - Just Googl'ed!

IMG_3804.JPGpics working now. Here she is in all her glory. Although this was a Cat S (structural) there was nothing structural about it. This is often the way with the little 500s I repair. I’ve also had ones with blown airbags that are Cat N. Makes no sense.

Looks good, hope you get the final niggle sorted. Still enjoying mine after nearly two years. They seem to have managed to make it feel well screwed together, no creaks or rattles after 26,000 miles. If I could change one thing I would give it a slightly softer ride, but some of that is probably my fault for choosing a model with 45 section tyres.
