Does anyone know what the part in the picture is called?

It’s the grey rear bumper insert for the Cross plus model. I’ve got some damage to mine but can’t find a good second hand one, they are all being sold second hand complete with bumper and all have damage of some sort. I’m contemplating trying to buy new but don’t know if they are sold grey or they have to be painted.

I don't think they sell it or identify it separately. I believe this whole part is called "rear bumper lower cover" and that's it.

Also, this part is not painted, it's the same for all colors. Only Lounge versions have additional "lower trim panels" that need to be painted, Cross versions don't have any such parts.

Note: Info for my Cross Plus - 2015

o Upper Bumper: P/N: 735633938 (supplied in primer)

o Middle/Lower: P/N: 735604446 (probably finished in silver as no primer note)

o Lower/Protection Insert : P/N: 735615343 (insert into lower bumper below parking sensors and next to tow bolt hole cover)

Please validate with your dealer as I'm not responsible for any errors!

This part is also available in black.
Mounted that way on the S-Design.

I see so the top, insert and bottom all fine separate but the part I need is supplied with the bottom part?

I’ve also got one in silver but mi e is grey like in the picture. I guess I’ll have to keep looking on eBay then. Thanks for your answers.

Sorry, my answer turned out to be incorrect. I rechecked my communication with the dealer (on my Lounge I recently had the rear bumper replaced with the Cross version) and there are two separate parts, after all. One is middle and the other is lower. I think the silver/grey part you need is the middle one and is in fact sold separately.

My order also featured the tow eye cap, as it's also sold separately, but I guess you can leave your old one if it's not damaged and matches the color.

Tow eye cap is also missing. I will have to contact dealers to see how much it is. I dread to think. Thanks for the info.

As with all these parts queries UNLESS a full VIN number is provided then what the ePER parts database will spit out is going to be non specific. There are so many 500X (and other models) variations listed it is dead easy to get things wrong. If the dealer gets it wrong they pay. If you get it wrong you pay.

Also the original poster put the big red arrows pointing at and onto the lower bumper and not at and onto the lower bumper insert which is why I listed the 3 parts separately.

If the OP PM's me their full VIN number and clarifies the actual part then I'll look again which may reveal more/different information.

Thanks I’ll do that in the morning.

The cap shouldn't be too expensive. I remember 11 EUR or something like that. I'll check the invoice later to confirm.

I checked the dealership invoice and it says 14.77 EUR for the cap.

As for other parts, the "rear bumper" is listed for 272,71 EUR and the "rear bumper trim" for 89,43 EUR. Please note that the terms have been translated from Lithuanian. I assume the "rear bumper trim" stands for the middle silver/grey part you have indicated in the photo.

The prices of course will be different in the UK, but it may give you a general idea.

I’m wondering whether that’s the little black bit in the middle although I think that might be part of the lower black part of the bumper.

Yes, I'm pretty sure it's an inseparable part of the lower bumper. As I understand, the grey "middle" trimming is snapped into the groove created by this black bit and the rest of the "lower" bumper.

The bumper actually comes in 3 parts. I have had this off because the black painted lower part had scratches and the wheel arch mounts were broken. The bit I’m after does come off and is separate to both top and bottom. It is held in by bolts and lugs, it’s whether you can buy it separately in the grey rather than silver or worse still black to be painted. I never got around to calling the dealers, bloody Christmas!

Only just got onto this as I've been putting up with it since I created this thread but it spoils the look of the car.

I've just phoned my "local" Fiat dealers for a can of paint to find that they no longer have a parts department. Even they were a 30 minute drive away in Catford now I have to go to Dartford.

Surprisingly they have taken my number and will call me back as they are busy. I won't hold my breath.

I’ve managed to get through to fiat dealers. They do not sell spray cans and they don’t have a paint code. However they say that they believe it comes painted as their system doesn’t show in primer which makes them think it comes painted.

The part code was confirmed as 735604446

All for the grand cost of £271.52
