Hi Everybody,
I am new to this forum and have recently become the proud owner of a fiat 500X model (1.4 Multiair 140HP Engine) Automatic Gearbox.
Its a brand new model with about 3400 km (I am from Belgium so I am using the metric system....). Its the previous model (not the revamped one).
When I bought the car I knew that the fuel economy mentioned by fiat is optimistic at best (7-9 litres/100 km). But in reality I can't get the usage below 11-12 litres, which in my opinion is ridiculous!! I consider myself to be a lazy driver so acceleration etc is very steady. Could this be a bad setting? Is there anything I can do? I contacted the garage and they told me that they need to drive a whole day to determine if anything is wrong. How can that help?
The car is equiped with a automated gearbox so how will they drive differently?
any advise would be very welcome
Thank you
