Well title explains all.

What lies ahead is I hope continued reliability and strength. All my warranty issues were pretty minor and none vehicle stopping.

There is a little relief / freedom as well as now I'm free to maintain my vehicle myself. Live with this or that and do/fix this or that at my leisure.

Technical information these days with Fiat/Alfa is going to be an issue now that KeyLearn has been withdrawn and online tech info is expensive. Gone are the good old days of printed manuals and CDs. This is certainly no good for enthusiasts and could prove to be a real issue for a Fiat/Alfa post 2015 ever becoming a classic car.

I guess the European/EU/Manufactures 10 year support life (which many don't/can't achieve anyway and us little fish can't sue them) is going to be the best we can hope for.

Having read all the issues/problems of the 500X (especially in the Warranty thread I started) then I think the model is generally pretty reliable with the good old manual gearbox versions probably going to be the most reliable.

Compared to my Croma 2005 (which I had from new for 10 years) my 500X has been brilliant.

Mine is up next month, I’m due a service now.Fingers crossed then an MOT to follow. Still undecided about trading in for a Tipo S line......

Mine had its 3 year anniversary and MOT in May. Sailed through, not even an Advisory, despite the so-called 'dirty' engine. I had a few big problems and swore a lot at it in the first year, but after Fiat spent literally thousands on it under warranty I now love it. One of the very best cars I've ever owned

Good luck guys. Forgot to say when I had a full service done on mine last month (19 months old) and they did pick up on one thing as a red flag, the keyfob battery. Apparently the advice is to change them every 2 years.

They wanted a tenner to change the battery in the key id given them, I said no and did it myself, replacing both with Duracells for less than a fiver.

I've replaced mine as well. Got the dash message "Key Battery Low (or equivalent)" whilst in Italy. Only problem was we had both keys with us so had to exclude one key at a time waiting for the message to appear again so we knew which one was the low one. I always carry a spare battery in the glove box.
