When I shift the car in park, it says on the dash “Shifter not fully in park”. This happens often. Has anyone experienced this. The dealer did nothing because it doesn’t store an error code.

That's it? No error code and the dealer just sends you off, leaving you high and dry? Amazing.

Sounds like my dealer. They couldn't give a shoot that mine broke down 3 days after a service. They even had it 3 times since the service to drip feed me warranty repairs and still didn't bother investigating! And when I complained, they said cars just do random things sometimes.

Good Lord! I can't imagine something like that at my local dealership. They're always eager and motivated to solve my problems. Then again, I don't live in the UK. Not to imply anything, but it's not the first time I read about dismissive and unhelpful dealers in this forum.

Coincidentally I think mine did this the other day, the issue was the drivers door wasn't fully closed and I think it confused the car. Once fully closed it was fine.

I had all manner of electrical problems when I tried to start the car with the driver's door neither closed nor open. Car jammed in Park, almost everything not working. It took about 15 minutes to start the car, 4 or 5 hours for all of the functions to come back, and No Fault Stored at the end of it all
