I ordered the visibility pack (I think it was called) which included heated seats, steering wheel and I think, a heated windscreen.
In the cold weather we've just had I notice the heated seats and steering wheel but the should there be heater elements in the windscreen as well?
I cant see anything obvious.

If I'm not mistaken I believe it's only Ford that fit a heated front windscreen?

Nope, fiat do them, https://www.fiatforum.com/panda-iii...-broken.html?highlight=heated+windscreen+half
I don't know about the 500X the OP should go back to the specification list they picked the options off and check to see exactly what they ordered.
According to the current option list the only available windscreen heating is for the blade area (not part of visibility pack though). Presumably electric.

My 500x Cross Plus with NO visibility pack, heated seats etc. does appear to have an electric booster heater (probably around 100W) that seems to allow warm air immediately after start-up and the thermal lag heating the air system inners up first.

If the original poster wants to PM me his full VIN/chassis number I will look it up and see what Fiat think he has. HOWEVER I must stress that for my Fiat 500X Fiat think it is GREEN and not metallic bronze so there is obviously a few gremlins in any reported data.

PM sent.
I'll be interested to see what colour mine is as well!

Correct. Its grey !!

Although-

CARGO BOX- not sure where this is?
SUPPLEMENTARY HEATER - is this the 100w heater you mentioned?
CHROMED FRAME IN DOOR WINDOW LININGS - Need to check this as I dont think I have chrome trim around the windows.
SHIFT CONTROL ON STEERING WHEEL - Nope. Not an auto box. Unless they mean the steering wheel audio controls?
COMPASS GAUGE - no compass.
WINDSHIELD DEFROST - Still not very clear what this is, so really none the wiser. Haha.

Wrt you're question about Traction Plus/ASR/ESP/... operability. I can't really comment on it I'm afraid. I didnt buy the 4x4 version because I knew I'd not go off road and I've not had any reason to select the Traction Plus system yet.
Only thing I can say is that I've not noticed any of them, which I'd take as a positive :)

I have however found the City Brake systems a bit keen to kick in and is a bit of a shock when it first happens.

Hope the info was useful if not amusing :)

Cargo Box - Same for me - I think this is the below boot floor moulded LHS carrier insert ????

Supplementary Heater - Yes I think this is the electric heater I was referring to

Shift Control On Steering Wheel - this was listed for my 500X manual box. This could mean that were an autobox fitted then the wiring to steering wheel is already fitted but not enabled?

Compass Gauge - If you have the Sat Nav then there is a compass. If you don't then it is still possible that the basic on-board GPS systems are still present but not enabled?

On my 500X data I don't have Windshield Defrost listed so this could mean that you have some form of additional screen defrosting.

I were you I would on a cold morning just turn the ignition on, set aircon fan to minimum/off and directed to floor only and NOT start the engine. If you have an internally heated windscreen then I would expect that you should see/feel some evidence of heating after say 5 minutes?

I did warn you that the info may be interesting but at least it lists the correct paint colour :)

Just checked on the same website with my vin, it also shows as exterior color green, while mine is a metallic bronze as well, so I'm guessing someone screwed up the color codes between green & bronze...

I tried what you suggested and it didnt seem to make much difference. The manual mentions that the engine needing to be on to use the auxiliary heater, so I wasn't suprised.

Typically it was fairly warm this morning, but out of interest when I drove the car I took note of what happened when I pressed the windscreen defrost button.
In other cars I've driven the fan would normally go straight to full blast even though it would be blowing cold air until the engine warmed up, but interestingly mine shut off the air con (or at least took it out of Auto mode) and knocked the blower fan speed right back. I couldn't reach the air vent outlet at the front of the dashboard whilst driving, but what I could feel didnt seem very hot to me.
Something is obviously happening!
Im in love with the heated streering wheel though!!:D:D
