Where is and how do you change the pollen/cabin filter.

Please, no speculation as I've already examined the obvious places that are easily accessible.

I could really dig and de-trim deeper but instead of blindly pulling the car apart I'm looking for definitive facts.

Assume r/h drive is just the opposite ( not a fact I concede)!

I did look behind the glove box (via the top) and could not see the filter housing cover. Could only see the dreaded YELLOW of the passenger airbag...(boom )

Looks like one of the easier ones to access, on a previous car the Dealer used to charge for its replacement but it never happened as it was so difficult to get to. Once I took the car to an Indie, they showed me the original pollen filter they took out, 4 years old and absolutely caked!

I've replaced cabin filters on Punto HGT, Coupe 20V, Stilo Abarth and Croma 2005. Fortunately none of them have been to bad to do. Just fiddly and back bending for some and the need for a small head and hands.

Yes just done mine. Interestingly UK cars do not appear to have the bracket as seen in that video over the Filter cover (unless mine is missing!) Whenever you change your pollen filter always pop your hand in to the top of the fan and make sure there is no leaves/twigs or debris inside. Mine was making a horrible hum which made the whole dash vibrate slightly. It was only a couple of leaves in there but made all the difference. Ditto what Terry says above - broke one of mine but screws hold the unit in place ok.

We maybe should have one as a guide? eh mod.
