I have a new FIAT 500X car, and I am unable to find out how to update speed cameras on my navigation system.

I've install Tomtom Home on my computer. I've prepared a USB stick in my car. I've connected this USB to my computer, and succesfully download Tomtom system updates to my device. When I connected this USB to my car the update process was succesfull. Everything seems to be fine... But...

But when I open the speed cameras menu in my car, it says that speed cameras are outdated...

When I reconnect the USB to my computer and open Tomtom Home, the speed cameras menu item is disabled. When I click on that a message appear that my device is not supported to this option. Why???

I've read on Tomtom's site, that the first speed camera update is free to my device. But I am absolutely unable to update speed cameras free and paid as well. How can I do that???

How can I update my speed cameras on my car??? I am absolutely unable to find it out, and this is so frustrating...

Could somebody help me, please?

Some additional info:
On the first day of my new car I've installed the Uconnect Live app on my iPhone. I've succesfully connected it to my car, and all my Live services (FB, Deezer, Twitter) are working fine.
My Uconnect Live app show me that Tomtom live is part of Uconnect Live services for 5 years.
Speed cameras update is part of Tomtom live, so speed cameras update is an integral part of Uconnect Live - as I think.
So my question is the following: why isn't my speed cameras database updated when my car is connected to my phone and Uconnect Live is active?
Why I see in the navigation menu that my speed cameras are out-of-date?

When I first connected, UConnect did an update using my phone. Luckily I was able to use my home wifi as it was a couple of Mb. Did yours?

Also do you have mobile data enabled (or wifi available) as I think it's all via the mobile app?
Ive still to try to get my free map update, and what I've seen around the process seems confusing. I can't see TT home working as I've already got a Tomtom account from a previous device so how does it know I'm due another update for the car? Again I think it needs to be via your mobile.
If only there was some supporting documentation :bang:

Having read the process for map updates I now see how the update works through Tomtom Home. Seems a bit clunky to me, but at least I see how it should work.

And when I try it, of course I've got the 6.5" screen which doesn't work the same as the 5".
There appears to be no way to update it at all. Must be perfect then!!

When I first connected my phone to my car, and installed the Uconnect Live app, it made an update to my system as well.
But it didn't updatet my navigation, my maps and my speed cameras.
To update Tomtom navigation I had to use Tomtom Home application. It was successfull as I mentioned above, but it just updated the Tomtom app and maps, but not the speed cameras.
Speed cameras are out-of-date until now, and I don't know why and how to update them.
Does anybody updated successfully speed cameras on his car's navigation system?

Hi, I also have the 6.5" screen in my new 500X and recently phoned the dealer to find out how I could get map updates. I used to get quarterly updates for a TomTom device I used in another car so couldn't understand why the 500X Owners Manual explained how to get updates for the 5" screen model but not for the 6.5" version.

To my astonishment the dealer told me I would receive a letter from them when a new map was available and I would have to take the car to them to have it installed and it would cost me $200-$300!! I'm really annoyed about this .. it beggars belief. I'm in Australia so this may not apply in other countries although I have read about a similar situation with Jeeps in the US.

Ha!
Guess I wont be updating very often then.
I love these manufacturers - they're just looking for another revenue stream.

I've tried to contact both Fiat & Fiat Customer support by email and Twitter about this and so far have had no response. I guess they're too embarrassed!
