Am I right in thinking that the service intervals for the 1.4 multi jet petrol are every 9000 miles? According to the handbook nothing appears to need changing/replacing it looks like it's only checks? At 18000 miles it seems things are changed then oil/filters/plugs etc. My last two new Fiats Punto and Panda were every 18000 miles or two years.

Yes Fiat seem to have reduced the length between a supposed service down, I looked at this closely when making my mind up to go for the 1.4 or 1.6. The 1.6 is 12k rather than 9k. From what I can gather they seem to be trying to see their cars more frequently so they can pick up issues before they get more serious or it's a money earner for the service departments. I though the 500x would have had an extended service program. Hit home when my 500twin air which I brought based on 18k between services if brought now would see the service department every 9k........

I took out a service plan for my 1.6 will be interesting to see what gets done!

Yep I think I let that slip when buying the car. Didn't pay to much attention as was thinking it was like my others at 18000m.

I'll be interested to see if the 500X 1.4 MultiAir has both Oil Change and mileage/time.
