General 500X... Orders & deliveries

Looking great! Wich engine? I see is city look.
It is a 1,6 diesel 120 PS with safety package, winter package, business package, tinted rear windows and glass roof. The engine runs very smooth with a good torque.

I ordered a 500X in mid July and dealer estimated delivery by end of September. We shall see. I ordered a City Look Popstar in Passione red with 1.4Multiair engine and DDCT gearbox. Extras are steering wheel paddles, alarm and Visibility pack - I'm hoping the mirrors are electrically folding as it will make just that bit easier to get the car in and out of my garage.

I wouldn't be optimistic. I ordered mine beginning of June, was told delivery by first week of September at the latest. 2 weeks from the estimated delivery date I have now been told that it's very likely to be delayed to mid to late September, judging from the current status. :bang:

I don't think Fiat are really well set up to build cars, which is a shame because they do design some nice ones...

Called into my dealers this morning and was told car had reached status 35, meaning it's on its way! Dealer suggested about 3 weeks before I take delivery which would total about 14 weeks since ordering.

Mines at 35 too I'm on week 21 though.

Well done Fiat for killing the 500x forum as no one can give any details on non existent cars

No winter packs till some time this month
Back orders are not being prioritised as I asked this and got a no and factory still shutting down so add another 4 weeks on top of your order

Have you noticed no one from fiat or the dealerships coming on here as they have f@@ked this up and everything is hush hush

not good tarnishing us all with same brush , some of us do care and are as frustrated as owners

Who mentioned the dealers I said Fiat, and if you look at my other post you will see that I have been sticking up for dealerships.

So before opening your gob look through the forum you muppet.

As you can see some of us are still waiting and still angry.

It seems funny how a dealership suddenly only gets involved on here once the major issues are sorted out, cars are coming through and orders can be completed in the Link system.

It a shame you didn't come into these forums earlier when we needed the help and all the issues were there.

I ended up helping my dealership out with stuff because I took my complaint so far up I spoke to people in production above Fiat care.

So if your going to contribute and help us out now it would be a good thing but try not to p""s the people off that left a deposit in early May and are still waiting

we want the total experience to be a good one from start to finish.
last thing we want is to p, folks off been around forums for 10 years and know how every manufacturer works on shifting metal without back up plans .

if you need help email me and i will answer straight away and help

The dealers may care but I can assure you Fiat Group don't

I only got an answer from them about the winter pack at the end of July when I'd ordered mid May.

I was advised by the Fiat Care team to take the Winter Pack off and by doing this I would ensure faster delivery of the car I was also assured seeing I has just bought a 500s at the same time Fiat would do all they could to get the car through seeing as I had already waited 11 weeks with no news or updates.

I was then told nothing would be done as my previous order did not make the factory system due to the winter pack restriction

I was promised my car without fail the 3rd week in October which looks as if that was bull**** too as it's only due in Bristol Docks this weekend.

They did the same when I ordered a factory Abarth 3 years ago when it turned up with red leather instead of black and in 1999 when my new Bravo fell off the transporter and I was told tough another 8 week wait!!!!

There customer service is shocking they are total **** and without any shadow of a doubt the worse company I have ever dealt with (worse than easyjet)

So what your saying about uncaring Fiat being a thing of the past is completely wrong

They are worse than ever

they ignore the customer and give them no service and to be frank they make dealerships look like a bunch of idiots treating them the same.

I actually believed my dealer when they said they will do something about this and would be having words with Fiat
Nothings happened and nothing has been done and I'm still awaiting a written apology I had to ask for over a month ago

PURE ****

I completely agree with your comments on Fiat Group customer care. Coming from a family who has owned multiple Fiat Group cars and who's spent more than £40k just since 2012 with them, the attitude of Fiat UK in Slough (the Italians seem better) has been worse than you could expect off the Police if you'd committed a crime. The crime in our case was thinking that Alfa UK would give a damn when we contacted them regarding multiple problems with my Sisters 13 plate Alfa MiTo, bought brand new.

Because of their woeful responses, my Parents Fiat has been replaced by a new car of a different make, my Sisters MiTo is now awaiting collection by the finance company after the Financial Ombudsman ruled that they should have it back and the third car, my Alfa MiTo, may possibly the last in a continuous line of 4 Fiat Group cars that I've owned since 2003.

However, where I struggle is that you're just shooting the messenger by taking it out on Sturgess. From what I can gather, Sturgess are not your dealer and Fiat Group take little (if any) notice of feedback from their dealers, or customers. So, as I see it, having a go at the one dealer who comes on here to try to help is not on.

I totally think your criticism of Fiat Group generally is correct, but whilst some dealers should be closed down, there are also some blo*dy good ones. You need to say what you said, to Fiat HQ in Slough or Italy, not to a dealer who hasn't caused you the problem in the first place.

As I have said they have had 4 months to add comments to this forum when all the issues have passed.
I don't have any issue with my dealer or Sturgess I have an issue with Fiat and if you bothered to read through the forums you would see I have made my feelings clear to them and if my wife didnt like the car so much I would have cancelled

See all your dealers stick together

I'm not a dealer. I used to work in the offices of a Fiat dealer but left nearly two years ago and have nothing to do with them now.

Ultimately it's not up to Sturgess to answer anything because they've done nothing wrong. The relationship is between you, YOUR dealer, and Fiat. Only they need to give answers.

To be honest, whilst I can quite understand that Fiats customer service is a real problem, I think in this instance, you're not helping at all because you speak to everyone with such a massive chip on your shoulder. Perhaps if you were polite to people you'd get further.

I'm not asking them to do anything I was asking why they were not around during the issues, they may have been able to assist other members on here as other dealers may not have the same relationship with Fiat UK.

Fiat were not keeping anyone in the loop and that's why the delays happened and people were waiting and still are.

I ended up giving my dealership information I was getting direct from Fiat that they were not getting, as I know my dealer had 2 other customers who had ordered same spec as me.

Yes I have an issue with Fiat which I have raised in the correct way, but have not gained anything from that.

I'm polite when I need to be polite end of

well i ordered mine June 17th and only now am i at point 35. its supposedly on its way over on ship but who knows what is truth and what isnt. ive gone past caring to the point i may just walk away.

interestingly my friend at work ordered hers through the NHS lease scheme at the end of MAY and guess what, yes its been delayed for the fourth time.
Its now going to be the middle of november. That im afraid is absolutely ridiculous. she too is willing to lose £500 and walk away. No faith in Fiat whats so ever.
You watch the glossy videos of the factory and think Fiat have got there act together but it seems more and more apparent the Fiat themselves dont give two flying F...S for their customers. Apparently according to her lease company Fiat treat Lease cars as less of a priority. that is what they said.
I thought the 500x was far more superior than the mazda cx3 in many ways and that is why i chose it, but im very tempted to go for second best and get good customer service.

My Panda Cross was ordered late last November & delivered late January. Built with options so not bad at 2 months, especially with Christmas.

My wife's GT86 was ordered in March & delivered in August. Again, with options but delayed along the way & ultimately 5 months.

To walk away, unless they are well outside of the quoted ETA is foolish IMO.

I think it's the poor first experience I'm having
Fiat were supposed to be out to improve their reputation, it's failing fast.
I could just be waiting to eventually receive a sub standard product from a very unhelpful and sub par manufacturer.
Got a lot of thinking to do

The car is worth the wait, I was not happy with the long wait I had to endure, as time went by I raised a complaint with Fiat Customer service, I found them helpful and updated me. After delivery I was nicely surprised to receive a good will gesture from them.

I am very very happy with my car and glad I waited.

I agree with ntullett, the car is nice to drive and worth the wait.in my opinion Fiat customer services are in general not any worse/better than others I have dealt with when a NEW product is/has been launched.
