Judging by the video, it's actually going to look 'right'. As in, all in proportion.

I've posted a couple of pics before.

The front though retains that slightly 'awkward' look of the L in my opinion.

That's the norm before a new model is launched isn't it?

People draw up images based on a mixture of prototype sightings sneak previews and rumours.

I thought people would understand this.

Re: The Fiat 500x is nearly here!

How will this new model compare say in price/spec to a Dacia Duster?

And before we get any slating of the Dacia, it is built largely out of both Renault and Nissan components apparently, so although I don't own one, I'm assuming reliabilty won't be a huge issue? Not so great on NCAP ratings apparently, but a lot of car for the money. I also like the look of the Dacia's front more than the Fiat, but I guess that is Fiat's 'signature look'. Although I've grown to like the asthetics of the standard 500, I'm not a fan of the 500L look myself.

I suspect its going to command a price premium over the Duster after all most models in that sector are pricier.

I wouldn't necessarily slate the Duster but I think a better alterative to either the 500X or the Duster could be the Sannyoung Korando, especially if you want to tow something as it has a nice torquey 2 litre Diesel and looks great too as it is styled by Giugiaro. If you took the badge of it it would easily pass for a much more 'premium' offering.

Badge snobs wont like it though.

It's just a bit of speculation and fun, no real harm done by it is there?

I think it looks good, I could be quite tempted. What is the price ?

If the current 500 is anything to go by, the Dacia won't compare in quality and that's before you even see the NCap results.

The 500 is actually a very well made car, especially when you look at other small cars.

Back in 2006, I had the hire of a Ssangyong Kryon for a weekend. I drove it from Scotland to the Midlands and back again and I thought it was a great car to drive, but then I believe the engine/mechanicals are tried and trusted Mercedes units.
