Hi. I have a 2020 Fiat 500L. It’s my first time owning a Fiat, or a car with a remote key fob. With my car, the dealer gave me a key fob to press buttons to lock/unlock the car. I assume the alarm sets when the car is locked using the key fob. The dealer also gave me a spare key which I can use in the door lock; it does not have a push button fob: it’s just a key. My question is: if I use the manual key, and not the fob, will the car alarm activate? When locking/unlocking the car doors with the manual key in the door lock, lights to not flash on the car so I need to know if NOT pressing the lock button on the fob will still turn on the alarm or do I have to press the key fob buttons?

Open window, lock with key, push your arm inside and listen for the alarm. Repeat with unlocking with key and locking, unlocking with fob.Easy test...

I've no idea if it's standard on any of the UK models, but it's certainly available from Fiat as an approved accessory.

The window test should answer this question fairly easily.

I have 500L Trekking UK, 2014 ,NO alarm is fitted as standard.
