So the other day I got a “Check Stop Lights” warning. Had a look and sure enough the bulb had clearly blown. Replaced the bulb and light unit, no problem.

Shortly after I got a “Check Running Lights” warning. Checked and light on the same side as Stop Light was out. Typical I thought but had the light unit off to replace bulb.

However, when I went to change the bulb it looked fine. I replaced it anyway and refitted the unit. Turn the lights on and it is fine for about five seconds then the warning light comes on. I’ve checked this and the running light definitely comes on (so it is not a blown bulb) for about five seconds but then goes off and the warning light comes on.

I cannot see any obvious loose connection or similar, the bulb seems to be seated OK and vibration when driving or idling doesn’t seem to be having any obvious impact either way.

Any ideas??????

Pretty sure the bulbs are right. Don’t think it’s a loose connection, comes on, goes off... no sign of intermittent working.

I'm having the same issue with my license plate lights. It keeps giving me a error code when i turn on my lights, but the lights have been replaced and are working. Did you resolve your issue?

Are you sure you swapped bulbs of the same wattage..?

Weird how the bulbs go on and off though

Difinitely not got 'disco.lights'..?

That is common with a poor earth
I had a problem like this last year. When I put brake or indicator light on, the warning light came on. Tried bulbs etc. Cleaned connections, but no good.
I have some spare wire from another car in the boot. So I pushed wire into the Earth connector. It worked. Has worked every since.
I assume the wire much be touching the car's body and making an earth connection.
Hope this helps.
