Is my motor euro5 or euro6

Hi All from İstanbul/Turkey,
I'm a 2013 Fiat 500L 0.9 TiwnAir 105 hp Rockstar with Trekking user. My Car is second hand and i bought it on 14 SEP 2020. It was 93k km when i bought it now 100k.
My engine number is 199B60000161355 and i am wondering that my motor is euro5 or 6.

I've really big problem with fiat turkey. Because i believe that the service used wrong oil for my car. They used OPAR OLIO S2 5W-40 but user guide book says GS1 and 0W-30 for 0.9 TwinAir engine
Fiat Turkey told me that your car is euro5 because the year of manufacture before 2015 is euro5 and used oil is correct for euro5 engines.

But i think my car is euro6. So, how can i verify it.

Re: Is my motor euro5 or euro6

If your car is a 2013 model then it is Euro 5.

Euro 6 became standard in September 2015 but was first introduced in 2014 therefore anything older its a euro5 model.

You donít need any more verification your car is too old to be euro 6

Re: Is my motor euro5 or euro6

I have the 2013 500L brochure and it says: "All the Fiat 500L petrol engines are Euro 6 compliant". So that's both the 1.4 FIRE and 105 Twinair. I remember being impressed by this at the time.

Your answer is nearly the same with service. I'm new here and can't send links cuz of form rules until send 5 message but i have an Article that says;

The 105 HP of the 0.9 TwinAir are different and ideal for customers who are concerned about reducing fuel consumption and emissions particularly in cities. In brief, this ďaware and responsibleĒ engine is particularly appreciated in countries where the ownership and use of high-emission cars are severely restricted and highly taxed. It is no wonder that emissions are so low that the engine complies with the European standards of 2020 already today.

Charlie[/QUOTE]

I really do not have an idea why they are not using Selenia oils. In Turkey, services make a deal with the oil producers to decrease costs. Services say to oil producers that "i will use your products for all Fiat vehicles. So, i will buy a very big amounts of oils from you and you will decrease the costs"...
Produces earn and Services earn . It means WIN-WIN.

For example VW group services use Castrol in Turkey.

Maybe Fiat made a deal with Opar in Turkey like explained above.

To be honest A FIAT dealer our 4 cylinder car went to Billed me for Castrol Oil..
(and another fluid they didnt even use!)

But knowing how critical the fuelling system is with regard to oil quality

I then moved to Italian car specialists who only use Selenia.

It will be interesting to hear what FIAT Italy tell you about your 105

We understand how important the quality of the oil used if we read the places I highlighted in the user book picture.

in addition, For 105 hp twinair engines, the viscosity of the oil is also very important. Because the valve tappets in the engine work according to the oil pressure and oil with a lower or higher viscosity than the desired value causes the valve tappets to operate prematurely or later. The viscosity of the oil is directly related to the oil pressure.

When I tell the service what I wrote above about oil, the answer they gave me is; It is okay to use 5W-40 and S2 spec oil for your car.

If fiat italy says " your car is Euro 6 " then this will be the beginning of the end for fiat turkey.

The document that i have uploaded is signed by the general manager of the Fiat Turkey.

Document says;

00161355 engine numbered car is E5 and it is normal to use S2 oil for E5 cars.
GS1 oil is used for our vehicles with E6 engine.

As a result,
i have all service records and the records say that they used S2 5W-40 oil.
I will take all my rights arising from wrong care through the court if my engine is E6.

Because they used wrong spec and wrong viscosity.

That link has nothing to do with what emissions version the varus built to

And while the engine may pass euro 6 standards it was not built and tested to those standards so your car predates the euro 6 requirements so allmost certainly not a euro 6 engine

I'm not sure what your so fixed to trying to proof it's a euro 6 engine?

Maybe you are right. I just not trust the fiat turkey so, i am try to verify clearly that its euro 5 or 6. I need to hear this from an official and valid source.

Even if the engine of my vehicle is not euro 6, the viscosity of the oil used is very different from the one written in the user manual.

What do you think about 5W-40 against 0W-30 for 0.9 TwinAir 105 HP 500L ?

Put you vin number into this
It should give you what version your engines is (I think it works on 2014 cars not 100% however

Just be aware you get a lot of spam.poups from the website
