My local garage has diagnosed a turbo actuator fault on my 120 1.6 diesel engine. They are struggling to get the part from our local fiat dealer who say they can't get hold of one due to warehouse/supply chain issues. Is anyone else struggling to get parts via fiat or is this likely a local dealer issue? Not doubting what my garage has said as have never had a problem with them.

Covid is no doubt having an effect..

Do you have the part number?
A quick search on the web.. or a call to Grays of Warwick might move things along

Worth a call to a specialist then..

Even if they charge double for a £120 part.. its still going to work out cheaper

I've asked my garage to replace the whole unit, they are going to see if they can find a cheaper option than main dealer. I guess that at least the whole unit being replaced means the turbo will be sorted. On thinking back I had noticed that the car didn't seem to pull as sharply in sixth gear on motorways when accelerating for lane changes but put it down to my imagination at the time. Will update when I know more.

Any other brands use the 1.6..?

I know 1.3 parts from vauxhall are cheaper than FIAT

Well my mechanics has managed to fix the actuator then found out that the DPF was completely blocked and needed reconditioning as a new one for the 120bhp would be £1400!. All in the car is back on the road for £411 And is running better than ever.
