I have a 2014 1.3 multijet with duelogic.
I've only had the thing since February and all has been well until now.
Over the past week, I have noticed a annoying squeal on acceleration. It became apparent when accelerating on a slip road (On ramp to our non UK members) to join the motorway. the noise abates when gears are changed/changing and then starts to fade & stops when a certain speed is reached. Today, I've noticed it slightly at lower speeds 2-5mph. you can barely hear it... Its bugging the hell out of me...

I'm guessing the Thrust (throwout bearing) or worn friction plate?

Anyone of you fine people have any idea or access to service bulletins?

many thanks in advance

Could it possibly be auxiliary belt or brakes or nothing to do with clutch/gear box?

How many miles your car travelled?

Its possible it could be the brakes. I can't see it being the Auxiliary belt as its a metallic squeal. I can only compare it to trying to cut hard material on a lathe with an unsuitable tool/insert.
Car has done 70,627 miles exactly.(y)

Hi Guys,

Took the car to a reputable garage. The diagnosis isn't a favourable one.
The Turbo needs rebuilding or replacing.
The bearing has gone and has Crapped out the seal.

Lucky enough, North West Turbos are right on my doorstep.

All the induction system was congested by 50mm (approximately). The Throttle body and butterfly valve wasnt closing properly and the EGR valve was barely operational due to the carbon buildup. the Guys at the garage think the induction manifold is also likely to be restricted as the turbos bearing has failed and then the seal in turn...£475 for a replacement. Apparently its a common problem?
