I've managed to remove the IC on my Fiat 500 to rectify several faults, the most serious being the LCD failure. Sent it away to a well know UK company to fix who said it was not possible to repair it. Searched around and found AK Speedo who fixed the unit within two days -great service, efficient and prompt. He does work on other makes of cars as well - pays to trust the independent guy with the knowledge and experience every time - thoroughly recommend him.
