Hi all.
Right this could be long, a warning light came on my dash stating check DRL light. So checked drl lights, both sides working fine but offside front sidelight not.
Ok off I go get two new 21/5w capless bulbs fiddled around and found out to get at bulbs from under wing though little panel.so ok this done changed bulb but still the same no sidelight working but DRL works fine. Tested to see if any power on sidelight side of bulb holder, Nothing. So ran a wire from battery to holder, sidelight works. So I think if I run a wire from nearside holder to offside holder when I turn the sidelights on both should work. No both don't work. Take wire off nearside light works. I have checked all the fuses in engine compartment. All fuses behind glovebox and fuses in boot no blown fuses.
So guys and girls I am confused and am asking if anyone can help me out. MOT due in January so will fail if can,t get them working
Thanks
Arthur

Hello Arthur I think as there is no power at the bulb connector the issue must be a connector along the cable run might be a idea to remove the headlight to see where the cable goes. If the body computer is not able to measure continuity through the bulb it will think the bulb has failed. Also it would be worth plugging multi scan in and check it is not a can bus error that needs clearing the bulb blowing might cause that.

Thanks for the reply. Yep that's my next step. Do you know if there is a workshop manual on a 500L electronic or otherwise
