General I've replaced gaiter boot ring.

Just replaced the black gaiter ring as the other was flopping about all over the place, got a genuine fake of ebay [emoji1787] anyways all kind of went to plan (It's not flopping about) but then I select reverse the leather boot seam to be a kinda stretched. I'm guessing now that the cable tie should go under the flange to give it more room?

I'm going to try and just cut the cable tie and hopefully that will resolve it.
