Newbie here, looking for general info

Hi All

Newbie here joining the forum again. Had a Fiat Sciento many years ago and now bought the wife 500L trekking 1.4Tjet.

Great car and we love it, question though, anybody got a service manual. The Fiat dealerships here are ridiculous with their prices and service levels are pathetic to say the least.

"They" say it has a full service history but cannot find the service history on their own system. Needless to say i am not convinced, hence the request for a service Manuel.

Any help will be appreciated

Re: Newbie here, looking for general info

Yeah we bought our 2015 500L MPW MJD 1.3 Lounge in 2016 for around 8k, the previous owner could no longer use the car due to an unforeseen disability but we have kept it since.

It did not come with the KeyCode or the Service / Warranty Booklet, when we serviced it with the free coupon at Fiat and asked them - they told us it was 30 at the time.

We obviously declined as paper + ink does not cost that much. I do keep all service records on paper in a folder instead

And, yes the service is terrible, they just literally reset the service coupon on the ECU and did not change any of the filters or oil (literally drives as bad as it was, the oil filters and air filters looked pretty bad shape for a week service of only 20 miles driving). I don't think they even stock Selenia but that is my opinion.

From that day forward, haven't been to them since. I service the car myself with some good quality oil and change the filters all for a fraction of Fiat's 125. And tbh, this is all dealerships, regardless of Fiat. I know Vauxhall tried the same on my wife charging her for spark plugs, battery, alternator, MAF, MAP, O2 Sensor and all sorts, when the ECU was recalled for a water ingress issue - which they did not want to accept was the issue of their spanner light after their 'diagnostics' which I paid for.

If you want it cheap, take a look at eBay but the problem is getting the dealer stamps on the service record - but these are easily forged anyway with blanks stamped on eBay so I wouldn't bother getting a manual for servicing...
