Hey guys new here I searched around but didnt see a similar post. I have a 2014 Fiat 500L with about 47k on it. It is a six speed manual trekking. I have recently been having random issues with power loss. When driving after a period of time my cruise control will turn off and it is like I have no assistance from the turbo. I have changed the plugs and upgraded my coil packs to the Alfa Romeo packs. It worked fine for a week and now I am having the issue again.
Anyone else having this issue. I have seen some people report this problem but apparently no fix from Fiat as there is no check engine light.
Any help is very much appreciated

1.4L turbo petrol.
Engine sounds the same.
When driving I will notice my cruise control light will go off and you cant turn it back on then the power loss and no support from the turbo. At 47k miles the turbo going seems a little early to me

No I have not had it scanned yet but I am starting to think it may be a valve cover issue fouling up my spark plugs. This cylinder is the worst but two others have the same dust or corrosion 20190608_082856.jpeg20190608_082900.jpeg

Also when the cruise goes off it puts the message on the screen that the cruise has been turned off. So it isn't like it going out when you hit the brake or clutch it is actually being turned off

*Update* I figured I should update this for anyone in the future looking for the answer.
After speaking with some Abarth guys (they have the same motor) this is a known issue but Fiat doesnt have an answer they typically will either just replace you Turbo (if under warranty) or tell you to replace the Turbo. The problem is not the turbo I have found after speaking with the Abarth crews it is actually the way you are driving.
I am one when on the interstate to just keep it in 6th gear and let it slowly creep back up to speed if there is a slight slow down. Apparently this motor does not like that and notices that there is not enough air going to or coming from the Turbo and to not break your engine puts the car in Limp mode effectively shutting off your Turbo.
If you turn the car off and right back ok n the problem will go away. One way to know this is happening is it will turn your cruise control off.
So all that being said keep your damn RPM's up and you shouldn't have the problem. I just went on a 16hr trip and had no issues this time I also kept my RPM's up and that seemed to be the issue.

Hello.i dont know if i have the same problem on my 500L.but it happend to me twice, going uphill i lost all the power it was like having no accelerarion.after turning of the engine and back on it works again. Should i be worried about it?

Nope it happens if you have a manual try and keep your RPMs above 2k. I noticed that it mainly happens when going up large hill or mountains in a high gear and low RPMs

Yes is a manual 0.9 twin air.acctually i was in a parking spiral going up to the 4th floor and it was in the first gear. And suddenly like in the third floor lost all power.is so annoying.

That is odd. When was the last time you changed your spark plugs? You may want to even look at you coil packs.
If you do those things and it continues even with your RPMs up you could have a turbo problem

I just got is scaned, and i got “air supply” error.is there any ways to find for sure if is the turbo dies?

I am not the best to answer that question. Sounds like you may need to take it to a Fiat shop and see if they can check it.

I have '14 500l 1.4 turbo six speed gas manual as well. I have a few more miles on than you but am now having a similar issue. Turbo will not engage. No trouble codes.
I changed the plugs to Denso and saw better performance, better MPG and runs cooler. New Air filter. Oil change.
My turbo is still not engaging. I have yet to figure this out. Wastegate actuator may be the culprit but I have no idea how to easily test this.

I just replaced the waste gate Solenoid on my vehicle and man did it make a change!. You can get it on Europropultion. Brought the car back to running like new. I also switched to the Sprint Airfilter. It lets in more air similar to a K&N but even less restrictive.
