General 2018 500L 1.4 Cross

Hi guys
So, i upgraded from my previous 500L to the one mentioned above.
But I do have a question. It seems very lacking in power. The 1.3 TD was a flyer. Brilliant pick up, brilliant passing power. But this one, just seems very limp. To get any sort of power in have to rev the nuts off it. I know the power delivery between a TD and a petrol are different, but is that all??
Is there anything I can do to help with the power?
(I had read that some Dodge and Chryslers have a power limiter until you pass 1000 miles, could this be the same here?)

Mine did get a lot better the more miles I put on it. It's still never going to win any races but is perfectly acceptable for day to day driving.
MPG improved as well. Came back from the western isles in Scotland last Sept down to Nottingham on 3/4 of a tank. 62 MPG at normal road speeds so happy with that.
